Is there an entry fee for Myall Lakes National Park?
Yes for vehicles. Official park page (re-checked 12 Aug 2026) lists $8 per vehicle per day — Day Pass or Annual Pass; card pay machine at Mungo Brush, area office, or Park’nPay. Fees change — re-check on nationalparks.nsw.gov.au. Annual passes do not cover camping. This site never affiliates park entry.
Is the Bombah Point ferry included in park entry?
No. The Bombah Point vehicle ferry is a separate cash fee. Official visitor info lists 8am–6pm daily and cash only (re-checked 12 Aug 2026); it can close in strong wind. Dogs are not permitted on the ferry or in the park. Ferry ticket is not a day pass.
What is the best first walk?
Most first-timers start with the Mungo Rainforest walk at the northern end of Mungo Brush campground — commonly about 1.5 km loop, 15–45 minutes, Grade 3 when open. Always [VERIFY] live status on NPWS. Harder headlands (e.g. Yacaaba) suit fitter walkers and need their own time.
Can I camp in Myall Lakes National Park?
Yes at official NPWS campgrounds such as Mungo Brush and others when available. Book only via the official NPWS system (or 1300 072 757). Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse cottages are official heritage bookings only. Fees and facilities change — [VERIFY]. This site never affiliates official camping bookings.
