About this guide
Last reviewed · verify live park facts with NSW National Parks / NPWS
myalllakesnationalpark.com.au is an independent, unofficial visitor guide. We help people plan respectful, self-sufficient trips to Myall Lakes National Park (NSW Mid-North Coast) — Mungo Brush and rainforest logistics, Bombah Point ferry details, The Grandis, Seal Rocks / Sugarloaf Point, lake kayaking and entry-fee honesty on Worimi Country.
Public materials often describe 40+ km of beaches and dunes plus a large lake system (Myall Lakes / Bombah Broadwater / Boolambayte). Exact gazetted area figures vary across sources — treat any single size number as [VERIFY] against current NPWS materials rather than a permanent fact on this page. The park is Ramsar-listed (1999).
We are not NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), the NSW Government, the Worimi people, Karuah Local Aboriginal Land Council, Forster Local Aboriginal Land Council, MidCoast Council, or any commercial accommodation or tour operator unless explicitly stated.
We acknowledge the Worimi people as Traditional Custodians of this Country, with co-management elements involving Karuah and Forster Aboriginal Land Councils as stated on official pages. This guide does not invent cultural detail or retell restricted sacred stories. Use public interpretive material, authorised cultural experiences and official park information only. Dark Point Aboriginal Place requires respectful behaviour — cover it respectfully via official sources, not as a casual photo stop. This site does not speak for Traditional Owner groups.
Always verify day-use status, track conditions, parking notes and safety on the official NSW National Parks Myall Lakes page and Park Alerts before you travel. Official campgrounds book only via NPWS — never affiliated here.

Help people plan Myall Lakes National Park days and overnights safely and honestly — Mungo Brush, Bombah Point ferry details, The Grandis, Seal Rocks / Sugarloaf Point, lake paddling and beach logistics, entry-fee and camping realism — while funding free guides through clearly disclosed ads and affiliates. Park entry fees, the Bombah Point ferry, fishing licences and official NPWS camping bookings are never affiliated.
How we work (accuracy policy)
We pull together publicly available park facts from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), check Myall Lakes access notes against Mid-North Coast gateways (Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest, Seal Rocks, Bulahdelah), Bombah Point ferry logistics, lake and beach plans against official guidance, then write plain advice you can use. We do not claim live track status, guaranteed open/closed claims, fee tables, ferry hours, or cultural detail as permanent facts.
- Track status, facilities, parking rules and any fee wording must be verified on official NSW National Parks pages before you travel. We do not claim live closures.
- Park day use is never affiliated. Official campgrounds book only via NPWS — never affiliated here. Commercial stays, tours and gear links may be affiliated.
- Site-wide content review date: . Individual pages may note the same stamp.
- Site expectations and official park links: Contact (no public email).

National Parks Guide Australia network
This is one deep park guide (Myall Lakes National Park) in the National Parks Guide Australia network of independent visitor guides. The visitor-facing hub is nationalparksguide.com.au — browse the full directory, multi-park “best for” collections and how the network works. The publisher behind the network remains Farming Domains (see above); the hub is how travellers find other parks.

Myall Lakes sits on hub collections for NSW coastal parks, trips that are not a casual capital day-trip, and overnight NPWS camping — lakes-and-ferry logistics that would be false for a Sydney cliff strip or an alpine shuttle park.
- Coastal national parks — Ramsar lakes meet 40+ km of beaches, Seal Rocks and headlands — not an inland escarpment or alpine park.
- Not a capital day-trip — Sydney is ~2.5–3.5 hours each way; stacking Mungo + ferry + Seal Rocks after a late city start fails — unlike Sydney→Blue Mountains.
- Overnight camping — Mungo Brush NPWS camping is the default first overnight so mornings become lake and rainforest, not a second highway.
